Mohamed has been in the catering industry since the age of 14 and once worked for Eric's Burgers in Torremolinos in the 1970's. Eric's Burgers was the first hamburger joint in Spain and the owner has since turned the business into a multi-million pound chain, known worldwide. They were serving burgers in Spain well before McDonalds. Mohamed then went on to open his own restaurant in Casablanca. From here, Mohamed trained as a hotel chef and worked his way up to head chef in France. There is absolutely nothing that Mohamed does not know about food and there is nothing that he cannot cook. All these skills have been put to good use in his new bar/restaurant in Fuengirola.
Mohamed Ben Ali was one of our most difficult clients.
It took three trips to Spain to find the right premises. He knew exactly what he wanted and how the business was going to run. Ideally he was looking for a centrally located bar with a good sized terrace and a large, professional kitchen.
Eventually, after over a year, we managed to find Mohamed the right place and 30 days later he had moved in.
Smoothies Bar on the port of Fuengirola is now somewhere you MUST visit. Mohamed is a professional and knows exactly what his customers want and that includes a first class service - nothing is too much trouble for him.
His food is superb and the range is endless. His kebabs and pinchitos are an experience. Whatever you ask for, from a plain burger through to lobster, Mohamed will cook it for you there and then and pretty much 24 hours a day.
Mohamed has only been in the bar a few weeks but is already proving to be a success, especially with other bar owners who visit him for late night food when everything else is closed.
